Terms of Service

Effective date: June 4, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Latitude 44 ("we", "us", "our"), a sole-proprietorship based in Canada, and govern your use of the Claude Learn mobile application and any related websites, content, and services (collectively, "the Service").

By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. The Service

Claude Learn is a 90-day learning program that teaches you how to use Claude AI productively. It includes daily lessons, a prompt library, gamified progress tracking, and an in-app practice chat powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Some content is free; some is gated behind one-time purchases (see "Purchases" below).

The in-app practice chat sends your typed messages to Anthropic to generate replies. Output is generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date. Always verify before relying on it for decisions, code, or content that matters.

4. Purchases, Pricing & Refunds

The Service offers optional one-time purchases (currently "Course" at USD $9.99, "Pro" at USD $29.99, and "Founder" at USD $79.99) and may add subscriptions or new tiers in the future. Prices and tier contents are subject to change; current pricing is always shown in-app before purchase.

Refunds: All purchases are processed through Google Play (Android), the Apple App Store (iOS), or Stripe (web). Refund requests are handled by the respective platform under their published policies. For Google Play, refer to Google's refund policy (typically a 48-hour self-serve window). For the Apple App Store, refer to Apple's Report a Problem tool. Latitude 44 does not directly issue refunds for store-billed purchases.

If you believe you were charged in error and your platform refuses a refund, email us at the address below and we will investigate in good faith.

5. License You Grant Us

We do not claim ownership of anything you type into the in-app practice chat. By typing it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to transmit your message to Anthropic for the sole purpose of generating a reply, and to display that reply back to you inside the App. We do not use your messages to train models, sell to third parties, or for marketing.

6. Licence We Grant You

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable, non-exclusive licence to install and use the Service on devices you own or control, solely for your own learning. You may not:

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all lessons, prompts, frameworks, course design, code, and branding (the "Claude Learn" name, the "Latitude 44" name and logos), is owned by Latitude 44 and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. "Claude" is a registered trademark of Anthropic and is used here under fair use for compatibility / interoperability description.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (Google Play Billing, Apple App Store / StoreKit, Stripe, Anthropic, PostHog, and the cloud infrastructure we run on). Your use of features that depend on those providers is also governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, billing issues, or changes initiated by these third parties, although we will do our best to help.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.

AI-generated content inside the App is illustrative and may be incorrect. Do not rely on it for professional advice (legal, financial, medical, etc.) without independent verification.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Latitude 44, its operators, contractors, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of CAD $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Latitude 44 from any third-party claim arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, or if we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.

13. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material updates will be reflected here with a new effective date at the top of the page, and where appropriate we will notify users through the App. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

15. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Latitude 44 regarding the Service.
